COMO Maalifushi in the Maldives is the only resort in pristine Thaa Atoll surrounded by Indian Ocean vistas. This makes it the ultimate away-from-it-all destination with white strands of beach, inland tropical greenery and a safe, cobalt lagoon flanked by a healthy house reef. The resort provides numerous opportunities to explore the region with instruction in sailing, diving and seasonal surfing, using a fleet of boats for fishing and a nearby white-sand island where guests can enjoy a private island picnic experience.
It is the first boutique hotel in the Maldives by Japanese architect Koichiro Ikebuchi, whose sensitive approach to nature and respect for cultural authenticity is reflected in COMO Maalifushi's uncomplicated, succinct design. Accommodation includes 33 overwater villas and suites and 32 rooms, villas, suites and residences amid lush tropical vegetation. All are built with New Zealand pine with Kajan thatched roofs. Floor-to-ceiling windows open to substantial decks. Décor further brings the sea, sand and sky into the heart of every room, which have high-raftered ceilings and teak floors.
COMO Maalifushi is the first luxury Maldives boutique resort on the Thaa Atoll. From Malé airport, guests will take a 60-minute seaplane transfer to COMO Maalifushi.
